CESOP error 20040
“Wrong CorrDocRefId value”
Partly caught before you file
What it means
CorrDocRefId does not name a record that can be corrected. It must carry the DocRefId of the payee this record replaces, from the last message in which that payee was not fully rejected.
Why files get it
- CorrDocRefId set to the record's own DocRefId.
- A reference to the payee's first filing when it has been corrected since.
How to fix it
- Put the DocRefId from the payee's latest accepted filing in CorrDocRefId, and a new reference in DocRefId.
