Terms of Service

What you agree to when your organisation subscribes: how the trial works, how renewal and VAT are handled, what happens if you stop paying, and how to leave.

Status of this document

Drafted in-house and not yet reviewed by external counsel. It describes what the product actually does — if you need a lawyer-reviewed version before signing, ask and we will tell you where the review has got to.

Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between DTech SIA, Riga, Latvia ("we") and the organisation that holds an AEOI Reporting account ("you"). The person who accepts them confirms they may bind that organisation.

AEOI Reporting is sold to businesses only. It is not offered to consumers, and consumer rights of withdrawal do not apply to it.

The service

AEOI Reporting collects self-certifications, validates reporting data, and generates and corrects submission files for the regimes listed on the site. The free validators and readiness checks stay free and need no account; these terms cover the account.

You remain responsible for your reporting obligations and for what you submit to a tax authority. The service helps you meet them; it does not take them over.

Trial

A new account gets 30 days of the Standard plan free, with no card required. When the trial ends without a subscription the account becomes read-only, as described below. Subscribing with more than two days of the trial left keeps the remaining trial days: the first charge is on the day the trial would have ended.

Subscriptions, prices and renewal

Plans are priced per organisation, as published on the pricing page, and each includes one regime; every further regime is charged at the published add-on price. Monthly subscriptions renew every month and annual subscriptions every year, automatically, until cancelled.

Adding a regime or changing plan during a billing period is prorated and invoiced at the time of the change, less credit for unused time on the previous arrangement.

Prices exclude VAT. We charge Latvian VAT to customers established in Latvia and to EU customers without a VAT number we have validated in VIES; EU customers with a validated number are invoiced under the reverse charge; customers outside the EU are invoiced outside the scope of EU VAT.

We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email. A change applies from your next renewal after the notice period, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorise us to charge the payment method on file at each renewal and for prorated changes. Invoices and receipts are sent by email and are available in the billing portal.

If a payment fails, Stripe retries it over the following days and the account stays fully usable meanwhile. If it cannot be collected, the subscription ends and the account becomes read-only.

Read-only accounts

An account without an active subscription or trial is read-only. Nothing is deleted: you can still view your data, export it, download generated submission files and read the audit log, and your members keep access. Collecting self-certifications, importing data, generating or correcting filings and changing configuration are unavailable until you subscribe.

Self-certification links already sent to your customers can still be completed. Your data is kept according to your retention settings and the privacy notice.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time in the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the account stays fully usable until then and becomes read-only afterwards.

We do not refund partial periods, except where the law requires it or where we have charged in error, which we will always correct.

Your data

The data you process through the service is yours. Our Data Processing Agreement governs how we process it on your behalf, and the privacy notice describes the account data we hold as a controller.

Liability

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any twelve months is limited to the fees you paid in that period, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms; material changes are notified by email at least 30 days before they apply.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia, and the courts of Latvia have jurisdiction.
