CESOP error 50070

“Message size exceeded”
The catalogue’s wording · business rule CM-TR-0070
Partly caught before you file

What it means

The message is larger than CESOP accepts: at most 1 GB uncompressed. Larger submissions must be split across several files, each valid on its own.

Why files get it

  • A quarter's payment data for a large acquirer written as a single message.

How to fix it

  1. Split the payees across several messages, each with its own MessageRefId and each complete in itself.

Check a file for 50070 before you submit

The free validator runs the CESOP business rules against your file and names the error each finding would become — 50070 included — so the Validation Result is not where you first hear about it.

The file is parsed in your browser tab. No upload, no account.
