CESOP error 45040
“The 'TransactionIdentifier' element is not unique within the Payment Data message”
Caught before you file
What it means
Two transactions in the same message share a TransactionIdentifier. It identifies one payment for the PSP and must be unique across the message.
Why files get it
- Split or partial payments exported under the parent payment's identifier.
- Identifiers from two source systems that overlap.
How to fix it
- Give every reported transaction an identifier that is unique across the message — prefix it by source system if two systems number from the same range.
